Traditional Ruler of Gwako community in Gwagwalada Area Council of FCT, Malam Yohana Sabo, has urged residents of Abuja to imbibe the virtues of love and tolerance during the Christmas celebration and beyond.
The traditional ruler made the call in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Gwagwalada on Wednesday.
According to him, the country needs prayer, support and patriotic citizens to move the nation forward, adding that peaceful co-existence is necessary for nation building.
He said “Christmas is a season of celebration, love, sharing and tolerance to promote peace.
“I call on residents of FCT to celebrate this Christmas by sharing what they have during and after the season with the less privileged.

“They should promote peace, unity and extend hands of friendship to the needy to improve on their living standard.
“Peace, tolerance, perseverance; love of one another would go a long way in saving the country.”
Sabo maintained that meaningful development could only be achieved in an atmosphere of love, peace and unity.
He called on political office holders to reflect on issues bordering on corruption, joblessness and methods of avoiding violence to promote stability and development. (NAN)
