The suspected killer of Iniubong Umoren, the job seeker that was raped and murdered in Akwa Ibom State, Uduak Akpan on Monday pleaded guilty to her murder but denied raping her.
Akpan, who lured the deceased with a fake job interview was brought before a State High Court judge in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital.
Iniubong was later found raped and murdered on the outskirts of Uyo. Police fingered Akpan whom they said was a serial rapist.

The victim’s remains were buried in a shallow grave in Akpan’s family house venue of the crime.
Akpan was arraigned by the Akwa Ibom State Government with his father. However, while pleading guilty to Iniubong’s murder, he pleaded not guilty to the charge of rape.
