Governor Abdul’Aziz Yari Abubakar of Zamfara State, has sought for evaluation of security activities in the fight against banditry in the state.
Governor Yari spoke at the launch of Operation PUFF ADDER by acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), Muhammad Adamu, on Wednesday, in Gusau.

He said it was only when security activities by security personnel are evaluated that the successes or otherwise of such operation can be ascertain.
The governor, represented by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Abdullahi Muhammad Shinkafi, said it was sad that over 5,000 people had been killed with over 9,000 sustaining injuries in the last six years when the banditry activities became rampant in the state.
