World fencing governing body, FIE has concluded plans to hold a 2-day webinar next week, precisely December 13 and 14.
The world body in a release on its official website disclosed that the program is aimed at supporting national federations as they work to implement and improve safeguarding policies and procedures at the national level.
According to FIE the first module will cover the following topics…Introduction to safeguarding in sport, including the FIE safeguarding policy and Developing a national safeguarding policy.

The sessions will be led by Georgina Usher, president of the FIE Women and Fencing Council, FIE safeguarding officer and certified IOC international safeguarding officer in sport.
The webinars, which are to each last up to two hours, will be held with simultaneously interpretation in French and Spanish at 1400 CET.
FIE further disclosed that a link would be sent directly to national federations for the webinar.
