An ally and loyalist of FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, Samuel Anyanwu has been reinstated as the national secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, by the Supreme Court.
Anyanwu was reinstated on Friday by the apex court in a unanimous judgment delivered by a five-member panel.
The Supreme Court held that issues which have to do with the leadership or membership of a political party is an internal affair of the party and should be solved by the party not the court.
The judges stated that the Appeal Court, Enugu Division was wrong in its judgement of December 20, 2024 affirming the removal of Anyanwu by a Federal High Court in Enugu stating that the lower court had no jurisdiction to have heard the matter instituted by Aniagwu Emmanuel.
