A ministerial nominee, Balarabe Abbas Lawal, collapsed during his screening by the Senate on Wednesday, leading to a chaotic scene in the Chamber.
The nominee, who hails from Kaduna State, spoke for several minutes during his screening before suddenly losing consciousness and collapsing with several lawmakers rushing to his aid. Lawal was the second nominee to undergo screening and had completed his presentation to the lawmakers and was preparing to field questions when the incident occurred.
