Members of the RevolutionNow group, in Lagos State, on Monday, gathered to begin their planned protest as campaigned by detained Publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore.
They were, however, dispersed by a combined team of stern-looking soldiers and policemen deployed to forestall a breakdown of law and order at the entrance of the National Stadium, where the protesters had assembled.
The protesters arrived at the Lagos stadium minutes past 6:00a.m, on Monday, for the commencement of the protest, but met a detachment of security operatives at the Surulere area of the state.

The protesters, however, started chanting calling for the release of Omoyele Sowore
Shortly after, policemen fired teargas and shot into the air to disperse the protesters.
