Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has announced dissolution of his cabinet effective May 26.
In a circular dated May 24 and signed by the Head of Service, Hakeem Muri-Okunola, and sent to heads of agencies, ministries, and all political appointees, including commissioners, special assistants, aides (non cabinet members inclusive), the end of term of their appointments will take effect at the end of work on Friday, May 26.

The circular however exempted appointees whose tenures are by legislation and tenure based.
Sanwo-Olu instructed all affected appointees to handover all government’s property in their care including utility vehicles, to the accounting officer and most senior director in their ministries and agencies.
The governor also instructed all cabinet members to submit their handover notes to the Permanent Secretary. Cabinet office.
He wished all affected political office holders success in their future endeavours.
