The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has rejected the judgment of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) which affirmed the victory of President Bola Tinubu in the disputed February 25 presidential election, describing it as unreasonable and against the facts and evidence adduced in the Tribunal.

“The judgment is against reason, against the facts and evidence presented in Court; against the relevant Electoral Laws, Guidelines and Regulations as well as the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended).
“Indeed, the judgment is generous in technicalities and very short in delivering substantial justice in the matter.”
However, the statement added that the party would do a wholistic review of the judgement with its lawyers and decide what next in accordance with the law, and urged the people to remain peaceful.
