Queen Elizabeth ll died this afternoon at Balmoral in Scotland, her holiday residence.
Her last constitutional duty was accepting the resignation of the former Prime Minister, Mr. Boris Johnson and requesting the new Prime Minister, Liz Truss, the newly-elected leader of the Conservative Party to form a new government.
The nation had been anxious since about 12.30 p.m. when the Buckingham Palace issued a statement that the health of the monarch was concerning and that her condition was being monitored by her doctors.

Members of the Royal Family then began to make their way to the Balmoral Palace to be by her side.
The Queen Elizabeth is the United Kingdom’s longest reigning monarch. The platinum jubilee marking the 70th year of her reign was celebrated in June, this year The weeklong events were witnessed by people from different parts of the world.
