Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Tukur Yusuf Buratai, on Wednesday morning, while meeting with general Officers Commanders (GOCs) and Commanding Officers of Army formations, has directed men of the Nigerian Army to deal decisively with elections riggers and offenders.
The Army Chief was apparently complying with an earlier directive of President Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday, where he reportedly claimed he had given orders to military chiefs to shoot-at-sight anyone found snatching ballot boxes and causing electoral fraud.
Gen. Buratai also said that during the elections, no military escort would be allowed for persons with such priviledge.
