Senator Ali Ndume, representing Borno South in the National Assembly, is currently addressing his colleagues for their support for him to be elected as the Senate President of the 9th Assembly.
He claimed one of his reasons for running for that office was the gradual decline of the prestige of the Office of the Senate President.
He also said if elected he would ensure that the leakages in the nation’s budgets would be curbed. He also said upon the Senate being presented with the nation’s budget, three months should be enough by the senators to work on the document and have it passed.
