Unidentified gunmen have continued to wreak havoc in the South-east, this time killing four persons on Nzomiwu Street in Eziani community, Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The gunmen, who reportedly invaded the community, shot indiscriminately and killed the four victims, including a pregnant woman and three men, and fled immediately after.
Violent attacks by unknown gunmen have worsened the security situation in the region and pose a big threat to the 2023 elections in the area.

Many of these attacks have been blamed on the pro-Biafra agitators under the aegis of the Independent People of Biafra, IPOB, and its military wing the Eastern Security Network, ESN, an allegation the group has repeatedly denied.
