Two killed as hoodlums attack INEC office in Akwa Ibom

Two people have been reported killed after hoodlums attacked an office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Obot-Akara local government area of Akwa Ibom state.

There are reports that many vehicles were burnt in the incident after some thugs attacked where party agents and supporters waited for the delivery of sensitive materials from the state capital Uyo.

The suspected political thugs were said to have gone haywire after suspecting that the sensitive materials being expected from Uyo had been allegedly hijacked. The hoodlums went on to vent their anger on the INEC office and those present, killing two people in the process. The sad incident was confirmed by Mike Igini, INEC’s Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state although the police has yet to officially confirm the attack(legit)
