Trouble may be looming in the South East region of the country following the controversial five-day sit-at-home order issued by Simon Ekpa, the self-confessed protege of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB).
Consequently, the youth wing of the Elders Council of the pro-Biafra agitators have joined in the fray and joined the Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Elders’ Council, among others, to condemn the order.

Leader of the youth wing of the Elders’ Council, Comrade Ndubuisi Igwekani, aka Agu Biafra, said in Enugu, the pro-Biafra groups were fed up with the indiscriminate order declaring sit-at-home.
The group stated that any attempt to force people to observe the Ekpa-imposed order would be stiffly resisted, adding that no Biafra blood must be shed in the name of sit-at-home.

Igwekani warned that nobody must be molested or impeded from going about their normal businesses, reiterating: “Enough is enough.”
The group also urged Igbo leaders and political office holders to intensify efforts towards the IPOB leader’s release.
It furtger disclosed that plans were afoot for a meeting of all pro-Biafra groups to discuss the release of Kanu from detention.
