Tribunal sack James Manager as senator, affirm election of Omo- Agege, Nwauboshi

The Election Petitions Tribunal presided by Justice C.O. Onyeaba in Asaba, the Delta State capital, has nullified the election of James Manager of the People Democratic Party (PDP) as the senator representing Delta South senatorial district and  ordered for rerun.
February 23rd, 2019 National Assembly Election contested by Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, All Progressives Congress (APC) against James Manager which he (Uduaghan) approached the tribunal complaining of over voting and irregularities by PDP, and INEC against him and prayed for the cancellation.
The presided Judge in her  three hours judgement ordered that INEC to withdraw certificate of return issued to James Manager and order for rerun and contact election within 90 days on six local government out of eight LGA in the district.
The following Local Government Area where affected, they are as thus; Burute, Bomadi, Patani, Warri North and Isoko North.

Speaking shortly after the judgement, counsel to Manager Larry Selekeowei SAN said that, they were not satisfied with the judgement but will study and appealed the judgement.
Also, the tribunal panel 1 presided by Justice A. M Abubakar in a four hours judgement affirmed the election victory of Senator Ovie Omo-Agege of the All Progressive Congress representing Delta Central district in the February 23, 2019 National Assembly elections.

The tribunal declared that the petitions filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Evelyn Oboro for the Delta Central Senatorial election dismissed the petition for lacked merit.
In other development, the Petition Tribunal Panel III presided by Justice E.I Ngene also dismissed the petition brought by APC candidate Doris Uboh against senator Peter Nwauboshi of the People’s Democratic Party PDP, saying that the petition was dead on arrival and lacked merit.
