Armed bandits have launched a devastating attack on Magarya community in Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the attack has led to 11 people losing their lives, among them 7 mobile police officers and 4 civilians.
The bandits also unleashed destruction on properties, setting ablaze three cars, one of which belonged to the district head of Magarya, who is also the brother of the former speaker of the Zamfara State House of Assembly, Nasir Magarya.
The parlour of the former speaker’s house was also torched, with chairs being set on fire.
The Magarya Model Primary School was also left in ruins, with many students and staff sustaining various degrees of injuries, a resident of the area, Ahmad Umar, confirmed.
