Yoruba gospel singer, Tope Alabi is under fire over her criticism of fellow singer, Yinka Alaseyori’s hit song, Oniduro Mi.
In a church message, Alabi had said God cannot be a guarantor, the English meaning of Oniduro.
According to her, the song is an insult to God and not properly thought out.
“When you can see all the wonderful things God has done, and someone will now call him “Oniduro”.
“God is not my own guarantor! God is more than a guarantor. I like the song too but the day I tried to sing it, the Holy Spirit shut me up.
“He is more than a guarantor. I’m not trying to say the song is not good. When we receive songs in the spirit, there are some conversations you must have with the Holy Spirit before you bring it out.
“If we all churn it out the way it was brought in the spirit, everyone will be saying nonsense,” she said in the viral video.
Fans slammed the singer, saying she’s jealous of Alayesori, who sings exactly like her.
Kayode Ogundamisi said Oniduromi has been a blessing to him and his family.
“Thank you Tope Alabi. Now I know about the song and it just speaks to the rough patch my family and myself have been passing through in over a year and how God has been our guarantor.

Adetutu Balogun said Alabj has given free publicity to Alaseyori.

One Twitter user said what Tope Alabi said pure jealousy and immature.
“What Tope Alabi did was just pure Agbaya behavior, talking as if she is the only one that has direct line to the holy spirit.. you don’t condemn people’s hard work in public like that, ko boju mu rara
