President Muhammadu Buhari has lamented ‘intractable crises’ in his All Progressive Congress (APC) at all levels of government, saying that the party is too embroiled in bitter and unnecessary squabbles.
The president spoke, on Monday, at a consultative meeting among the Executive, Legislative and the party leadership at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, in Abuja.
He maintained that the crises had cost the governing party governorship and legislative seats during elections.
According to him, “this should never have happened”.
President Buhari also said the Monday meeting was, therefore, called to avert occurrences of such crises in future.
“We must now ensure regular consultations between the party and the governments,” he said.
The meeting was attended by the National Assembly and the APC leadership.
