President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday afternoon mourns the death of Ondo State governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, saying ‘power is transient.’
The President expressed his sadness in Lagos at the Lagos House, Marina, while speaking during a homecoming party organised by the Lagos State government.
The President said he was stunned at the news of the death of Akeredolu as well as that of former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ghali Naaba.
“As I was getting ready this morning, Akeredolu and Ghali Naaba’s matter came up. Power is transient, only Almighty Allah gives power and it is the only one who will take it. We see the value of life, we see goodness in what we do. The result of goodness is a multiplier of all good things that we must cherish, not for us but for our children and grandchildren,” the President said.
