President Bola Tinubu was, on Wednesday, in closed-door talks with a former Head of State, Gen. Yakubu Gowon (rtd.), at the a Aso Rock Presidential Villa, in Abuja.
Gowon had arrived at the forecourt of the President’s office around 2:00p.m. where President Tinubu personally received him.
Wednesday’s encounter was the first private meeting between the former Head of State and President Tinubu since the later assumed office, in May, last year.
