The THISDAY Alumni Association has congratulated the Chairman of THISDAY/ Arise Media Group, Nduka Obaigbena for winning the Diamond Award for Media Excellence, DAME, Life Achievement Award.
In a statement jointly signed by the President of the association, Tony Onyima, and its Secretary, Juliana Taiwo-Obalonye, the group noted that the award was a testimony to Obaigbena’s ‘outstanding contributions and accomplishments in the media across Nigeria.’
” Your visionary leadership, unwavering dedication, relentless innovation and courage have been instrumental in shaping the landscape of journalism in our country. Your commitment to excellence, integrity, professionalism and free enterprise has served as an inspiration to many budding journalists and professionals both within and outside THISDAY/Arise Media Group,” the statement stated.

The association added it was a thing of pride to have been part of THISDAY where they gained wisdom and received guidance in their journalism career.
It expressed confidence Obaigbena would continue to ‘ leave and indelible mark on the media industry and inspire future generation of journalists.’
