Mr Bulus Dabit, the Plateau State Director of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), has said that the greatest revolution that will lead to meaningful development in Nigeria is the one done through the ballot box.
Dabit said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Jos, while reacting to the revolution protest organised by Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate of the AAC in the last general elections.
“We cannot have democracy and embark on violent protests , if you want a new system, you have to put new people to drive the process through the ballot box.

” It is amazing that when it comes to political mobilisation and education, these revolutionists do not invest in mobilising people to vote, that is why voter apathy is high in Nigeria, ” he said.
Dabit said those who want change should dissipate their energy in political education through preparing voters to make the right choices for their welfare and the development of the country.
The NOA official explained that even though Nigerians had the right to express their opinion on policies, programmes and governance, it must be done appropriately.
“Protests must not collide with the responsibility of government to protect lives, property and ensure public order, ” he said.
He said aggrieved groups should partner with relevant agencies such as NOA to collate their grievances as feedback to the government, saying such platforms should be used instead of violent protests. (NAN)
