The crisis rocking Tai Solarin College of Education (TASCE), Omu-Ijebu, Ogun State, over unpaid salaries arrears, cooperative deductions and unremitted pension has taken a new dimension as Coalition of the College (COTAS), led by Comrade Daniel Aborisade, fried beans cake, burnt portrait and pictures of the Provost of the College, Dr. Lukmon Adeola Kiadese, supposedly wishing him dead.
Kiadese said that he was highly embarrassed and shocked to see such anomalies in the campus as against the wish of the funding father of the college, saying the it was high time the COTAS stopped all these trashes being doing in the campus at this modern age.
Kiadese stated this at a Press Conference organized to react to the odds at the Omu-Ijebu, Ogun State, noting that all their deeds and actions was against the plead bargaining made to the governor-elect, Prince Dapo Abiodun.
He added that the governor-elect, Prince Dapo Abiodun has waded into the matter and promised to personally visit the college as soon as he resume office, noting that the COTAS has no moral operandi to be burning down his portrait and frying beans cake for wishing him dead, after several intervention of well meaning Nigerians and Ogun State indigenes.
“All what they are doing is against the rule of law, nobody should be wishing anybody dead because one thing or the others, I can say it boldly that am not the one owing them, it’s the government, they should go to Oke-Mosan and be doing all these there not in the campus of learning of an older people,” Kiadese said
He added that it was now crystal clear that there are some external forces that were lobbying to be the Provost of the College behind the protest of those COTAS, otherwise it would get to that extent of wishing somebody dead, saying that part of their salaries have been paid.
He alleged that those Coalition, led by Aborisade were really after his life not their salaries any more, saying that they invited herbalists to perform rituals, placing concoctions at every nooks and crannies of the campus, which even restrained students of attending lectures.
He urged the governor-elect to intervene into the crisis rocking the institution before it hits the rock, noting that the illegal coalition was desperate to kill and maim the members of the staff willing to back to classrooms and lectures but those coalition were hindering the progress of the college.
“Despite the fact that governor-elect, Prince Dapo Abiodun had pleaded with those illegal Union, led by Aborisade but they remain hellbent in destroying the image and academic pursuit of the college, is that not lawlessness on their side, to kick against what the governor-elect said,” Kiadese said.
