Governor Aminu waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State has urged the newly sworn in chief judge of the state, Hon. Justice Mohammed Saidu Sifawa, to provide an enabling environment for judicial officers to perform optimally.
Governor Tambuwal made the plea in his remarks shortly after administering the oath of office to Justice Sifawa at a ceremony held in the auditorium of Sokoto International conference center, Kasarawa.
The governor pledged his administration support to the judiciary and respect to its Independence.

He, therefore, commended the state house of Assembly for the expeditious screening and confirmation of the chief judge.
While congratulating the chief judge on attaining the enviable position in his career, Governor Tambuwal assured of continuous harmonious working relationship between the three arms of government in the state.
Governor Tambuwal also commended the NJC for approving the recommendation of the sokoto State judicial service commission for the appointment of the state chief judge and wished the new chief judge Allah’s guidance and protection.
He expressed confidence that going by the record of service of the new chief judge he is capable of taking the state judiciary to a greater height.
The governor also warned against excerting unnecessary pressure on the Chief Judge and advised him to always make himself accessible to his colleagues.
