Tambuwal directs ministry to allocate lands for construction of Federal Fire Service office in Sokoto
Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State has directed the state’s Ministry of Lands and Housing to allocate land for the construction of the Federal Fire Service zonal office, in sokoto.
The governor issued the directive while inspecting two fire Fighting Vehicles allocated to the office by the federal government.
While commending the Federal Government and the Ministry of Interior for establishing the zonal office, Governor Tambuwal assured that all the courtesies being enjoyed by other Federal Government agencies in the state would be extended to the office.

The governor also said that the Federal Government intervention in that regard would no doubt complement the state government efforts in that direction.
Earlier, briefing the governor on the development, zonal commander of the Federal Fire Service Sokoto, Alh.Bello Aliyu Zagga, said that federal government has allocated four fire fighting vehicles to the zone two for Sokoto and one each for Kebbi and Zamfara states.
Commander Zagga further said that the Federal Fire Service zonal office was established to ensure safe environment across the zone.
He, therefore, solicited the support and cooperation of the state government for effective discharge of their duties.
