Take ownership of govt’s property, Sanwo-Olu charges Lagosians, commission roads in Alimosho LG

Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has charged Lagosians on the need to protect public infrastructure from vandalism by taking ownership of it.

The governor spoke at the opening of network of roads in Alimosho Local government Area. The roads opened were Babafemi Dada with bridge,Yinka Folarin, Jamiu Lawal and Shalom Academy.

The roads were parts of the 36 new roads the governor is opening which began on December 10.

Sanwo-Olu said as a responsive government, his administration is committed to fostering sustainable development through the continuous provision of efficient infrastructure.

He further said the opening of the roads were in fulfillment of his promise to Lagosians to provide infrastructures that will improve the lives of the people.

Sanwo-Olu noted that the achievement underscores his administration’s resolve to back his words with action

He further said before the construction of the roads which connects Igando and Ayobo communities, residents relied on a precarious wooden bridge built by a private individual which posed safety risks.

The Special Adviser on Infrastructure, Eng. Olufemi Daramola, thanked the governor for the project.

He said that locals were collecting toll fees from people and motorists before they were allowed to pass through the wooden bridge and cross from Ayobo to Igando.
