Frustrated passengers of Nigerian airline, Air Peace have sued for the suspension of the operational license of the company.
A passenger, Harri Obi, narrated his ordeal with the airline company on social media. He said the airline rescheduled his flight and invited traditional dancers to celebrate its 7th anniversary instead.
“Air Peace canceled my flight and in my presence invited Atilogu dancers to come to entertain their staff as they celebrate their 7th anniversary.
“I dey one side dey boil, Air Peace staff were dancing traditional dance steps in my front.
It’s the audacity for me,” Obi said.
His complaints set off a flurry of other complaints from other passengers who detailed how the company either delayed or rescheduled their flights which were booked well ahead of time.
One man commented: “Yours is even good. They rescheduled sharply. Mine was rescheduled from July to September. A flight I booked around April. I had tots that the seat was sold and that particular flight still moved the same day.”
Another said: “I booked a flight with Air peace for October 10that 7 am Port Harcourt to Lagos weeks ahead and they moved it to 11.40 am, I eventually left Port Harcourt around 1 pm that day.
Thankfully I had contingency plans so I didn’t miss the work I had to sort out in Lagos.
It’s terrible.”
In September, video footage surfaced on social media of passengers complaining about flight delays by the company.
The aggrieved passengers were subsequently arrested by the airliner.
Shortly after the videos were shared on social media and several people expressed disappointment over Air Peace’s service, the management called for the arrest of the customers and seized their tickets.
