Following the constant record of people committing suicide with an insecticide called Sniper in Nigeria, the National Agency for & Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has banned the commodity in small containers.
Many Nigerians had, in recent times, ended their lives with the substance.
The ban on Sniper has generated a lot of reactions from Nigerians. While some commended the move by NAFDAC, some are against it.
A Facebook user, Bayo James, said the ban was better as they lost one person three weeks ago in Surulere area of Lagos to suicide by taking the substance .

Another user also argued that anybody who is determined to commit suicide will do so by any other means, unless help comes.
The user queried if government would ban small ropes and people walking on Third Mainland Bridge.
