Obviously irked by the shoot-at-sight order by President Muhammadu Buhari against electoral fraudsters , the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), has warned the Nigeria military personnel to stay clear of polling unit during presidential and National Assembly elections, on Saturday.
In a statement issued by the MASSOB leader, Uchenna Madu, a copy of which was made available to The Nigerian Xpress, in Owerri, the group condemned the position of President Muhammadu Buhari on his presidential order that the military would shoot on civilians exercising their civic rights
The group described the President’s order to the military as a wild desperation and frustration of his APC-led government.

He noted that the party has failed woefully and claimed that it contributed much to the political, religious, academic, economical and social sufferings of the citizens.
He said that the primary mission of Operation PYTHON DANCE III, was align and work with INEC to rig the election in Igbo land in favour of the APC.
But despite the order, MASSOB and other pro-Biafra groups has urged their members to massively participate and exercise their civic rights on election day.
He said, “We assured our people that nobody will intimidate them on election day. Nigeria military has no constitutional rights to appear on polling units on election day”
They reminded the people of Biafra about the atrocities and genocidal killings of our people by President Buhari through his rampaging Fulani herdsman adding that the genocidal killings of the people of middle belt mostly the Benue, Plateau and Taraba states by same rampaging Fulani militiamen is still fresh in their minds.
He encouraged his members to be more sober and conscious of Biafra because these elections would pass by with a heavy political earthquakes in Nigeria.
