Representatives of South-East Nigeria Universities Game Association (NUGA), recently paid courtesy call on Vice-Chancellor, Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Prof. Chinedum Nwajiuba, to intimate him on their preparedness to kick-start South-East Universities Game at AE-FUNAI, following earlier approval for the hosting right by the vice chancellor.
Introducing NUGA officials, Director of Sports, AE-FUNAI, Yinka Olawoyin, noted that the team of Directors of Sports was on ground to ascertain the level of preparedness of the institution to hosting the game in 2019.

Appreciating the team, Prof Nwajiuba, who is known for his great passion for sports, readily approved the scheduled dates for the competition from October 4 – 12, 2019 and urged the team to channel their needs to Mr. Yinka for proper presentation to him for immediate attention.
Chairman of NUGA, Zone G (South- East of Enugu State University), Emeka Ogbu, thanked the Vice-Chancellor for his support to university games and sport activities since his administration began.
