SNTRC fixes July 30 for formal inauguration

The Southern Nigeria Traditional Rulers Council (SNTRC) has fixed Tuesday, July 30, 2024, for its formal inauguration in Owerri, Imo State.

According to the Secretary, SNTRC, HRM Dr. Benjamin Ikenchuku Dein of Agbor, the event ‘follows a pre-inauguration meeting held on May 21, 2024, in Abuja, where the council reaffirmed its mission to work in synergy for the peace and good of Nigeria and to further the unity of the Southern traditional Institution under the motto of “Togetherness, Strength, and Progress”.’

“The inaugural gathering will offer an invaluable opportunity for traditional leaders from across Southern Nigeria to collaborate, share insights, and strengthen the cultural bonds that unite the region,” he stated in a statement.

The statement added that the council anticipates full participation from all invited traditional rulers and extends its sincere appreciation to the host state governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, for his generous hospitality.

The statement assured of the council’s commitment to fostering unity among the Southern Nigerian traditional institutions, ensuring a collaborative approach to addressing the region’s cultural and socio-economic challenges.
