Six NSCDC officers in EFCC net trouble over N6bn fraud
Six senior officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, have been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, over their alleged link to a N6bn fraud.
Details of the probe are still sketchy but the senior officers are currently being grilled by EFCC investigators at the commission’s headquarters in Jabi, Abuja.
The NSCDC Commandant General, Ahmed Audi, on Monday reportedly handed over the officials to the anti-graft agency.
It was also gathered that Ola Olukoyede, the EFCC Chairman, had earlier written a letter to the NSCDC CG, demanding the officers’ release for interrogation.
