Some members of the lslamic movement popularly known as ‘Shiites’ on Thursday, staged a peaceful protest in Lagos, demanding for the release of their leader, lbrahim Al- Zakzaky.
The protesters who were seen with placards with various inscription passed through some streets in Ikeja and Maryland .

The protesters had also used spray paints writing inscriptions such as ” Release Al- Zakzaky, “, Al – zakzaky has been poisoned”, on the fence of some buildings in the area.
Policemen were on ground to avert any breach of public peace as the protesters marched from street to street.
Recall that members of the Shiites group had staged a protest to the National Assembly in Abuja, which later turned violent, leaving a police inspector injured.
