Shehu Sani tackles Tinubu over support for Oshiomhole

Immediate past senator, representing Kaduna Central in the National Assembly, Shehu Sani, has described the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu, as partisan.

This came on the heels of Tinubu’s statement yesterday (Sunday), faulting calls for the removal of the party’s national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, who has been having running battles with some party faithful, desiring his ouster.

“Asiwaju has jumped off the fence, ended his silence and neutrality and fired a barrage of cruise missiles from the Atlantic into Berlin,” Sani tweeted.

Many powerful forces within the APC are gunning for Oshiomhole’s head, including his home state governor and successor, Godwin Obaseki, and other notable party leaders from the South-south zone where the party chairman comes from.

Already, leaders of the party in the zone, such as Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi; Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo; former Governor of Edo State, Oserheimen Osunbor, and immediate past Director General of Nigerian Maritime Safety Administration Agency (NIMASA), Dr. Dakuku Peterside, among several others are insisting on Oshiomhole’s removal and have endorsed the Acting National Secretary of the party, Victor Giadom, as his replacement.
