Senate President, Yobe gov. on condolence visit to Sokoto
Senate President Ahmad Lawan departed Abuja, on Monday morning, on a condolence visit to Sokoto over the demise of Alhaji Hassan Danbaba who was head of Sokoto Caliphate kingmakers.
Lawan was accompanied on the trip by the Governor of Yobe State and Caretaker Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mai Mala Buni.
Others on the entourage included Sen. Mohammed Sani Musa, Sen. Ibrahim Danbaba, Sarkin Sudan Awwal Lawal, Sardauna Habib Fari and Alhaji Halilu Mohammed Modi.

They were expected to proceed from the Sokoto airport straight to the Palace to commiserate with the Sultan of Sokoto and also offer prayers for the repose of the soul of the deceased.
The Senate President and members of his delegation were back in Abuja immediately after the visit.
