Sen. Adeola’s aide shot dead in Lagos
Adeniyi Sanni, a senior aide to the Sen. Solomon Adeola, who represents Ogun West has been found dead in Lagos State.
Sanni was reportedly shot dead, on Saturday, while returning to his residence in the Isheri area.
In a statement by the Adeola’s spokesman, Kayode Odunaro, disclosed that Sanni’s bullet-ridden body was, on Saturday morning, found at Toyota Bus stop in the Oshodi area.
Sanni, according to the statement, had earlier called his wife to request for the details of his vehicle papers when he was stopped by security operatives at a checkpoint in the Berger area of the state.
The statement read, “The wife became troubled when she could no longer reach him on the phone after she sent all the documents to his phone’s WhatsApp.

“His apprehensive wife later called on Sanni’s associates to say she could no longer reach her husband on the phone necessitating the mobilisation of a search party.
“She was later called through the Next of Kin contact on her husband’s driving licence by passersby that the body of Sanni was dumped around Toyota Bus Stop in Oshodi with gunshot wounds.
“Senator Adeola who is involved in the ongoing ministerial nominees screening at the Senate is devastated by the sad news, as Sanni was his close aide for over two decades.
“The Nigeria Police Force is investigating the killing.”
