The Nigeria Police has said that the lawmaker representing Osun West Senatorial district, in the National Assembly, Ademola Adeleke, was detained in connection with a criminal investigation against him.
This was disclosed by Force PRO, Frank Mba, during a press briefing, on Monday. Mba noted that Adeleke would be charged to court today (Tuesday).

He said Adeleke was taken into custody in the evening of Monday, May 6, 2019 and that he had been served with the relevant charge sheet containing the alleged offences in the presence of his Attorneys.
Meanwhile, the Adeleke Campaign Organisation has faulted his arrest, accusing the police of working with the rullng All Progressive Congress (APC).
