The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said it is worried by the level of insecurity in Imo and Kogi States ahead of the November 11 gubernatorial elections in the states.
Mallam Mohammed Kudu Haruna, who is the commission’s National Commissioner, harped on the need for improved security measures in the two states, and Bayelsa State, which will also be going to the poll on the same date.

Haruna raised the alarm while speaking, on Wednesday, during a meeting with media executives on the governorship election in Owerri, the Imo State capital.
He urged all actors to give peace a chance in order to allow the electorate exercise their rights and elect a candidate of their choice freely.
