Zainab Aliyu, the Nigerian lady who was detained in Saudi Arabia over drug related issue, has been released by the Saudi Arabian authorities.
The release of Aliyu is sequel to President Muhammadu Buhari’s directive to the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, to immediately intervene in the case of Aliyu.

Briefing journalists in Abuja, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mustapha Suleiman, stated that the government arrived at a conclusion that Zainab was innocent of the allegation.
He added that the other Nigerian, Ibrahim Abubakar, is billed to be set free tomorrow (Wednesday) by the Saudi Arabian authorities.
