Right activist and pro-democracy advocate, Comrade Razaq Olokoba has described the life of the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu as an exemplary one worthy of emulation, adding that, his advent is a blessing to, not only Lagos, but to the whole nation in general
Olokoba, who is the National President of Campaign for Dignity in Governance (CDG), was paying tribute in a message to Sanwo-Olu on the occasion of his 56th birthday celebrated recently, in which he described him as an eminent personality with a Midas touch in good governance.
According to the message, Sanwo-Olu is a selfless administrator with milk of human kindness flowing in his veins, adding that, “he is the type of a person that would not sleep or relent until the welfare of his people is assured and guaranteed,”
The public analyst and political observer, therefore thanked the almighty God for the good people of Lagos State in particular and the whole nation in general for having such a unique, responsible and responsive man as the governor of the most populous state in the country, saying, his just two years at the helms of affairs in Lagos State had made a remarkable impact!
The youthful analyst also took a critical look at his achievements across all the sectors of the economy in the state and declared that, “it is never a surprise to some of us who had studied his pedigree before presenting him to the people for their mandate,” expressing the delights that, “he has not disappointed us and we are so very much proud of him.”
The CDG boss reminded the people of Sanwo-Olu’s concerted efforts that saved Lagos State and by extension the whole country from the claws of the dreaded COVID-19 that shook the whole world to its foundation, expressing satisfaction that two respected global institutions, the United Nations (UN), and the World Health Organizations (WHO), recognised that and commended him for it.
The CDG convener said that, Sanwo-Olu’s signatures across the state in the last two years have shown that, he is a born achiever, asserting that, the signatures could be seen in all sectors of the economy starting from the workers’ welfare, transportation sector, health and security, youth development, infrastructure advancement and the ease of doing business among others.
While congratulating the governor, rather belatedly on his 56th birthday, Olokoba stressed the need for people’s support, assistance and cooperation with his administration to succeed, enthusing that, “the way Sanwo-Olu is walking his talk, Lagos State is in for more good things to come.”
He therefore wished the governor, “Happy birthday and many happy returns of the day.”
