Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State will today flag off the construction of the abandoned Lagos Badagry Expressway.
Recall that the governor, during an inspection tour of the road on the second day of his assumption in office, had promised that work would soon commence on the road.
The construction of the road was stopped during the immediate past Governor Akinwunmi Ambode administration.

The construction, which started at the Orile end of the road, was abandoned midway at the Alakija end of the road, causing undue hardship for motorists and commuters.
But Governor Sanwo-Olu had promised that his administration would mobilise construction workers back on the road and complete it to the Okokomaiko end of it.
He had also promised partnership with the federal government to ensure the road is completed up to Badagry end.
