Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has assured workers in the state civil service of an improved welfare package and conducive working environment.
The governor spoke on Sunday through his Chief Of Staff, Tayo Ayinde, who represented him at the interdenominational annual thanksgiving service for the year 2023 public service week held at Chapel of Christ The Light Church, Alausa, Ikeja.
Sanwo-Olu thanked Lagos workers for their support to his administration and reminded them that the ‘reward for hard work is more work.’
” I call for more dedication to the service of the state. I assure you of a conducive environment and improved welfare. We will continue to reward exceptional performances in the state,” Sanwo-Olu promised.
The Head of Service, Hakeem Muri-Okunola described public service as ‘ a calling’ adding that Lagos public service is known for excellence and efficient service delivery.
He charged ‘ my colleagues to continue to pray for the governor and his deputy because they continue to raise and motivate us.’
“They are servant leaders and need our constant support,” he told the workers.
