One of the sacked pastors of Living Faith Worldwide, Godwin Onoruoiza, has been placed on N100, 000 ($200) a month salary for the next five years by the founder of Abba Father Ministries, Isaiah Okechukwu, based in South Africa.

Okechukwu, in a Facebook post, said he has promised to employ Onoruoiza for the next five years until he is able to stand on his feet.

He made a plea on Facebook to help him track the sacked pastor. According to him, over 30 pastors who were sacked by Oyedepo two weeks ago, reached out to him, including Onoruoiza.

“One hour after l made the post of the pastor Peter Godwin and 30 others that were fired, they reached out to me. l video called and verified it was him. Credited him and it will be like this according to my promised as God empowers us,” he said.

He said the reason some pastors are treated shabbily by their superiors is that they have the same god-fatherism mentality that is also found in politics.

He asked pastors to learn from the businessman, Obi Cubana, who has lifted many people through his philanthropy.

Two weeks ago, Living Faith Church sacked over one hundred pastors for lack of performance.

The pastors said they were sacked because they could not remit enough funds to the headquarters of the church.

The church has denied this. Bishop Oyedepo defended the action of the church, saying the sacked pastors were ‘unfruitful and lazy’.
