Rivers crisis: Fubara’s support base soars as Asari Dokubo visits, pledges loyalty
The Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara, appears to be winning more supporters daily in the wake of his running feud with his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, who is also the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja.
The latest of such supports was made known via a post on the 99%oppressed X handle, where Asari Dokubo, a former Niger Deta warlord, shared a photo of himself and Fubara, captioned, “Asari Dokubo is now loyal to SIM.”
Known for his brash and outspoken nature and involvement in various political activities, Dokubo’s visit has generated wide interest and comments among social and political circles.
The newfound romance between Dokubo and Fubara has potential to alter the political situation in the state and especially serve as a booster for Fubara and his political camp in the fight with Wike.
