The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State has felicitated with Muslim faithfuls in the State on the completion of the Ramadan fasting period, urging them to continue to live a life that will give glory to Allah (SWT).
According to a statement by the Secretary of the party’s Caretaker Committee, Diran Odeyemi, the party prayed that “having seen the end of the 30 days fasting period, the almighty Allah (SWT) will grant Muslims faithfuls in Ekiti State the grace to see more Holy Months of Ramadan in good health.”
The Caretaker Committee, which reiterated its commitment to the unity in the party, urged all party members, especially those who are Moslems to, in the spirit of Ramadan, forgive whoever might have wronged them.
The PDP said; “since the great Prophet of Islam, Muhammad (PBUH), described Ramadan fasting as a shield against vices, we urge our Muslim brothers and sisters to continue to live with the teachings, Hadith and Tesfir of the Holy month.
“It is our prayer that all the supplications made for our State, our party and country during the fasting period will be acceptable to Allah (SWT).”
