Many Muslims students have been injured, in Kwara State, as peaceful protest that turned violent over the use of Hijab in schools.
What began as a peaceful protest by Muslim students of Oyun Baptist High School, Ijagbo, in the state, who staged a peaceful protest, on Thursday morning, in front of the school premises to demand their right to use Hijab on uniform in accordance to the Nigerian Constitution and Kwara State circular snowballed into violence.

It was learnt that the Muslims students of the school staged the protest to demand their right to use Hijab on uniform but the Kwara State chapter of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) shun them, saying ‘NO TO HIJAB’ in ‘their school.’
It was gathered that four Muslims have been shot during the protest.
The protesters said the school hired thugs and security agents to disperse them violently. In the process, one person reportedly died, others injured.
