Former Aviation Minister, Osita Chidoka, on Saturday said the SouthEast region of the country voted for peace and progress which was the reason they did not join the ongoing nationwide protest.
Chidoka was replying on his X handle to a statement made by Senator Shehu Sani on his X handle few days ago where Sani had commented about how people in the South East are not involved in the ongoing End Bad Governance protest in Nigeria.
“It’s all quiet on the Eastern Front while shops and government offices are touched and looted in other parts of the country. Hoodlums snatching phones, burning offices , damaging traffic lights and burning offices are not peaceful protesters, ” Shehu Sani had said.
Responding, Chidoka wrote ” Yes, I can confirm all is quiet on the Eastern Front. The Russians have repelled the German Army and Operation Barbarossa is coming to a tragic end due to poor strategic planning.
Due to heavy rains and mourning, the Eastern Front voted for peace and progress. Do you have any problem with that? Dog whistling will not work this time.”
