The Governorship Flag bearer of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Ebonyi State, Prof. Benard Odoh, has been honoured with Outstanding Leadership Award by the Anglican Church in Ebonyi State.
Presenting the award at All Saints Anglican Cathedral Abakaliki Diocese, the Bishop in charge of the Diocese, Rt. Rv. Bishop Monday Nkweguwho described Professor Odoh as a man with positive leadership virtues, said that the church decided to honour him for his outstanding leadership credentials, noting that Prof. Odoh has distinguished himself through service to humanity in the state.
Appreciating the gesture, Prof. Odoh expressed deep gratitude to the Church for finding him worthy for the honour, stating that it will spur him to do more for human development and that of society.

Prof. Odoh appealed Ebonyians to give him full support to win 2023 general election and to make Ebonyi a better place for all.
“Even though it is not yet time for political campaigns, but since the Bishop has mentioned it that I am contesting for Governor, I therefore seek your support so that we can make Ebonyi a better place for all of us to live in
“With your support and by the grace of God, we will make this state to have joy again and all the sectors that are not working will begin to work again
“We know that the Igbo have no place in the two dominant parties in Nigeria today because we have nobody for president or vice president in any of the two parties.
“So, now is the time for our people to think about how to secure their various stages states in the South East first before we begin to gain relevance again in national politics. That is why we have to work hard to liberate ourselves and make a profound statement on our identity as a people” he stated.
Prof. Benard Ifeanyichukwu Odoh is a Professor of Geology and former secretary to Ebonyi State Government. He purposely resigned his appointment as a result of ill wind in governance orchestrated by his employer Governor David Nweze Umahi.
Earlier in his sermon, the Anglican Bishop of Abakaliki Diocese Rt. Rev. Monday Nkwegu charged Christian fathers to always stand firm in their families as the Pillars of their homes.
