A rally to show support for President Muhammadu Buhari ended in fiasco at the Unity Fountain, Abuja, over sharing of the booty givent to them.
The rally was organised by #the IStandWithBuhari protest group, comprising persons who identified themselves as supporters of the president to show solidarity with him on the occasion of the commemoration of the June 12 Democracy Day.
However, leaders of the group were reportedly seen in hot arguments over how the money given to them for organising the counter-protest against the anti-Buhari protest at the same venue on Saturday, would be shared.
The president’s supporters were adorned in customised T-shirts and placards that bore different inscriptions, such as, ‘Nigerians say no to violence’, ‘Nigerians say no to fake activists’, etc. while the anti-Buhari protesters’ placards read: ‘No to bad governance, no to corruption, no to banditry among others.
